MSR Hubba Footprint

I started my cross-country bicycle trip with a plastic ground sheet but this fitted MSR footprint reduced weight and set-up/ take-down time. On dewy grass and during all night thunder storms it kept the floor drier, because it stayed anchored precisely inside the tent's perimeter.
I avoided rough surfaces where I'd have just thrown plastic, chose tent sights carefully and slept better.
This trip's over and the footprint still looks good.
