North Face Crestone 60

Ranked #694 - Weekend Packs (3000-4500 cu in)
July 17, 2008
I just recently got back from New Zealand where I did a four day Great Walk in the Te Urewera National Park. I hiked the 28 mile Lake Waikaremoana track and comfortably carried about 30-35lbs of gear up and down an 1185m bluff and other varying terrain. I love this pack! Although a little on the heavy side I was able to fit all my gear including: a sleeping bag (TNF Kilo), a few days clothes, food, first aid, emergency items, cooking supplies, two aluminum water bottles (filled), rain gear, and my heaviest item a D-SLR camera and gear. The pack fits securely, doesn't shift much, and is easily adjusted. My only angst about this pack is that after a full days hiking I felt strained in my neck and shoulders. All in all a great pack.
