Gear Review
Out of the box and on the trail

Ranked #1125 - Men's Backpacking Boots

Normally I like to break new boots in on short hikes with my dog around our local nature trails. After trying the Montrail Torre GTX boots on I thought I might give them a try on our last big hike of the year and I was not dissapointed. With a 30 pound pack and 7 mile days in the Eagle Cap wilderness of eastern Oregon I had no hot spots, blisters, or anything but backpacking bliss. Granted Boots are a pretty subjective item to review, but consruction quality, traction, support and comfort are all first rate in these medium weight hikers. I am also very happy with backcountry.com's customer service and prompt shipping.
