"not good pad placement" - Review of Pearl Izumi Slice Bike Glove - Men's

I bought a similar model (has more venting) but the pads aren't in the optimum place like my 20+ yr old Specialized gloves. I need to position my hands on the bars to accommodate the pad locations.
