Gear Review
Just a great backpack...

Ranked #1370 - Weekend Packs (3000-4500 cu in)
July 3, 2008
My son is 12 (5'5" / 110#) and is a very active boyscout. We live close to Houston and camp throughout the year, so our criteria was durability, big enough for a week camp yet small enough for the weekend too, and able to fit him for a few years. The backpack has top, front and bottom access points, and a big sleeping bag compartment. It has an ample number of clip-on points for all of the standard scouting gadgets, and is extremely comfortable on extended hikes. The only "issue" he has had is that the bottom access point has a hole on either side that stuff (socks, underwear, etc.) can slide into the sleeping bag compartment. Also, we did need to purchase a raincover separately, but have been remarkably pleased with the form/fit/function.
