I really thought that this pack initially would not cut it in quality, but it's great to go to work/school and take lunch in the front cooler compartment; I'm huge and the shoulder strap webbing and sternum strap fit with plenty of slack left over; the pack could hold enough stuff for a spartan overnighter; the ONLY improvement I would make would be deeper (taller) slots for pens/pencils in the organizer, or maybe redesign the configuration of the organizer; I LIKE the smooth nylon padded back--mesh ones on packs twice the price actually fray and deteriorate with movement as they rub against your back at the bottom if you wear a belt. Dakine is "the thing"!
