Tennis shoes that hike as good as any boots. They have the support I need when running on loose rocky slopes. The grey with yellow trim looks sharp. Colored mesh fabric shreds instantly on rocks, thorns shoot straight through (they could be sturdier). THAT'S WHAT HAPPENS WHEN RUNNING OVER TERRAIN THAT SHOULD BE WALKED.
