I hike 5 miles per day of trails...really!
On the plus side Vasque has the consistently good quality. The foot bed is quite ridged thus your feet are protected from wear and tear on rugged, sharp or rocky surfaces. This was the reason for my selection. On the down side the shoes breathe so well that the slightest dew penetrates leaving your feet damp...especially in the morning. Note: I live in the rainy Northwest Otherwise a great, rugged shoe.
