This helmet was awarded the "Editors Choice" award from Climbing Magazine for good reason. It is extremely light on the head, and accomodates head lamps excellently.
It is extremely light on the head. In fact, my headlamp is more noticeable on my head when hiking a long distance than this helmet is. (Note to self: time to get a new headlamp)
The best feature, I think, is the extremely easy adjustements. There is only one place you have to adjust the size, and it takes care of the rest. (Of course, you can fine tune the fit of the chin straps if you desire.)
This helmet is designed for both Kayaking and Climbing - so you don't have to worry about what happens to it if it gets wet... Which in the case of canyoneering a tough canyon (ie heaps) is most likely the case.
