Not the right inserts for hiking boots

I bought these for a pair of Asolo boots. I'm on my third pair of Asolos and they are a great boot. I bought these inserts to improve on the inserts that the boots come with. These inserts are too thick and raise your foot inside the boot. Because of this it causes friction in the heels and I developed blisters on both heels after only a few hours of wearing them. I definitely do not recommend them for hiking boots. Additionally I experienced the arch support for only the first couple times wearing them and then the support seemed to disappear.

I think your assessment is misleading. You have to understand that the inserts are to replace the original inserts, not in addition to them. Also, yes they will raise you feet, so you have to purchase boots that allow for that extra space in the heel so that you do not get blisters. I love them and use them in my hiking boots, Jazzercise shoes, and trail shoes. They are completely interchangeable on shoes with removable inserts. Before buying new boots, take your inserts and try them on with the inserts so you will know whether or not they create too much heel lift. I have had my current pair for a year now and cannot wear shoes without them. They are amazing!
