McMurdo Parka is Great

This jacket is worth the buy for the coldest conditions. I bought this down jacket since I was going to school in Michigan. I felt warm and comfortable walking back and forth to class at temperatures around 5 degrees Fahrenheit, wearing only the McMurdo and only a t-shirt. I've never worn a long-sleeve shirt with this jacket btw. Wind was a minimal problem due to the large hood. If you take the fur off the hood, a person has a smaller hood that doesn't get in the way and still works well for the coldest days. I'm not a big fan of a furry hood, but it comes in handy when there are those 30 MPH wind gusts. Otherwise the entire jacket stops the wind all together. This jacket is great for carrying stuff too, it has many pockets and without looking weird. A downside of this jacket is that it's really big, but what do you expect when you want to stay warm in cold conditions? Another downside is that I tend to overhead sometimes when walking back and forth between classes, even though the temperature is below 20 degrees Fahrenheit. I recommend only buying this jacket if the climate is consistently below 25 degrees during the winter. Otherwise I give this jacket a 5 star since my body rarely gets cold. The McMurdo Parka is worth its price.
