Giro G10 MX Helmet

Item #GIR0203 | 253 in Stock
5 Star Rating

The Best I've ever had

By Ranked #64 - Helmets May 16, 2008

This is the most bommer and most comfortable helmet for all things skiing. I'm used to the protection of a ski racing helmet and this is a much more comfortable option that offers comparable safety and won't get you laughed off of big mountain summits. Has easy vents that are great for hiking and warm days alike, while closing them keeps out the Alaskan rain and bitter cold that I deal with every day, in a way that hats and other helmets could only pretend to do.

P.S. Unlike some other Giro helmets the brim on this looks extremely dumb on snowboarders, sorry.

I have to disagree with Peter on one point on this review: in my experience--that is, on the particular G10 MX that I ride in-- the vents don't close all the way, and the Alaskan rain I deal comes right on through, dripping onto the top of my head, running down my neck...I get shivers just thinking about it. I would recommend this excellent helmet to anyone living in a drier climate, but based on the helmet I have, the vents don't close and therefore the vents simply can't keep water out.
