"Not as good as REI" - Review of Sierra Designs Hurricane Rain Pants - Kids'

We bought these pants for my son. We returned them without use. We camp all year in the rainy Pacific Northwest and demand the gear be exceptional. These SD kids pants weren't. The material was stiff and crackly. They feel the same as the Stearns pants available at Walmart for much less money. We didn't like those, either. REI waterproof/breathable pants are worth paying the additional money. The fabric is softer, very waterproof and comfortable all day. And then the little ones don't sound like a plastic bag crinkling down the trail.
