We got a Columbia 2-in-1 jacket for our daughter when she was 4. She's now turning 6 so we needed to buy a bigger one. They are super nice because you can use both layers for cold weather or use one of the single layers for warmer dry weather or warmer rainy weather. The wrists tighten with velcro, which is wonderful for playing in the snow. (Our daughter hates when she gets snow in her coat and this prevents that from happening.) (Columbia's snow pants are also very nice.)
They withstand lots of wear and tear and we will definitely continue to buy Columbia's jackets for the whole family!
I would recommend them to everyone.
