"true 1 ski quiver for pow and carving" - Review of Elan M999 Wood Alpine Ski

I have the 07 m999s and they just rock. They hold up in high speed turns and variable snow, though they are really at home in the bottomless. The carbon and titanium layers mean they are both damp and powerful, though soft enough to float in the pow and even pull tight radius stuff in chutes where you need to set up your line. being a full twin tip, they ski a little shorter, and I really notice the forgiveness when the bumps appear and I am in and out of troughs. On really windblown hardpack, I had to be careful about my line as they started to chatter up, but on anything softer, they can straightline or round it out all day. a real one ski quiver if you can push the 99 waist. I say buy them!
