Good jacket

The AK line is high end Burton wear typically in a no frills way. You will get functional stuff without a lot of bling.
What I like about this jacket is the clean, non flashy look and trim fit. That probably will not appeal to everyone but suits me just fine.
The jacket has the features I need and the Gore-Tex has been as advertised so far. I am warmer in my new clothes than before, in part because the Gore-Tex seems to block wind better. It is still a bit early in the season, and therefore not warm enough yet for the Tahoe snow to be really wet but so far, I am bone dry while I see others walking around with wet butt. Of course, I never really had a problem with that in my old gear either as I am not one for sitting around on the snow.
