Palmer is not lying; this board is scary fast, easy handling and responsive

This board lives up to Palmer's marketing. It may even live up to its lofty price.
This is a fast, responsive board that rides all conditions well. It is expensive but it is loaded with features not found in lesser freeride boards. The base is fast and it is a smooth, excellent carver. Put some energy into the board like when carving and you get a lot of it back as you exit the turn.
On top of the speed and the power, I was quite surprised on light it feels on the snow and how easy this thing is to turn. I got a 165 but it feels like a much smaller board when I want to make sharp turns yet is a tremendous carver at speed.
I have ridden this board on powder, in the trees, on choppy icy moguls (that was not fun) and hit some jumps (small) in the park. As long as you do not want to do a lot of tricks--it is just too stiff to lend itself to that anything that requires a lot of presses--this is a pretty versatile board. It does however require attention as it is very stiff.
The bottom line is that this is a top end freerider. If you are an advanced rider looking for high end boards, you should consider this board.
