Nixon Rover Watch

Nixon Rover

By Ranked #564 - Casual Watches June 3, 2004

This watch has rockstar qualities, but only in the appearance. Its potential to take abuse is slim to none. The band came appart on my watch about 3 months after I had bought it. One of the knobs has fallen off of it recently (the one that adjusts the time and date). I have now owned the watch for about 9 months and have to send it back to get repaired once again. When I sent it back the first time to get the band fixed, the rep that took my order had entered the wrong type of watch that I was sending them. Luckily I had called to confirm my repair order and that's when I found out that they had the wrong watch in the order. Bad customer service. I would've been screwed if I hadn't followed up. I was still w/out a watch for two weeks. Nobody likes to go without a watch once they're used to having one all the time, and especially if you pay more than $100 for it. I would look at other watches if I were you...unless you like to deal with watch problems about every 3 or 4 months. BTW, I am a college student, so it's not like the watch gets a whole lot of abuse sitting at my desk studying or under my glove snowboarding in the backcountry. Nixon sucks! don't waste your money. they might put on some good rail jam comps, but that's about it.
