North Face Apex Bionic Thermal Jacket

Ranked #700 - Men's Softshell Jackets

I ordered this jacket for my husband for Christmas after much research comparing it to the non-thermal version. My husband says "I don't like to be cold." And this jacket has been great for that. The extra $50 you pay for the "thermal" version gives you a furrier, thicker lining. We live in New England and he wears it as a winter jacket. My husband says that since the jacket is windproof, it makes a little sauna inside because the jacket doesn't let the wind in or the body heat out. The only downside to the jacket and the reason I gave it a 4 and not a 5 is the seams around the armpits. They are a little tight and have the ability to rub the armpits if you're not wearing the right shirt underneath. This small detail was not bad enough to cause my husband to dislike the jacket though. Overall it is a great jacket.
