PIMPSLAP TIME!
By Anonymous
Ranked #93 - Alpine Fat Skis
January 9, 2008
The length of these skis are enough to intimidate anyone. But I suggest you show these girls who's in charge if you do make the commitment to click them on to your feet -- if you don't take them for a ride, they'll certainly take you for one. The Pimp is designed for a classic mount but, at 193, the ski's long tail takes some getting used to.
Atomic's kinetic core -- I'm assuming "kinetic" is a fancy word for foam -- makes for a light ski that rocks in the fresh stuff and glides through chop. However, the Pimps lack personality on the groomers; where the ability to store and release energy is everything.
A great novelty ski for those of us lucky enough to have a nearly full quiver.
