Ranked #536 - Men's Ski Pants
January 3, 2008
I wanted a comfortable, durable pair of ski pants with properties cited by jsakman. I have been disappointed by a pair of Patagonia pants I bought two years ago (surprisingly, given my past good experience with Patagonia products)--shoulder straps keep slipping (even when tight), waist snaps release when stressed, seams and fabric at bottom of pant legs have worn prematurely. So far, the Kloven seems like an improvement. Definitely on dimensions of fit, lightness and comfort, including several days of Alta storms. Time will tell about wear to the pant legs. One minor complaint: the gaiter that goes over the top of the ski boot is quite tight. I cannot pull it over the ski boot top. Instead, I have to open it, place it where I want it, then snap the bottom and secure the velcro. Not a big deal. I am glad with the purchase.
