Perfect for Backcountry
By Zac
Ranked #357 - Telemark Skis and Alpine Touring Skis
December 6, 2007
The width of the Kilowatt is perfect for skinning up in the powder without sinking in too deep. They've got great floatation for the way down when sketchy steeps keep you on the more mild slopes. I wasn't too impressed with the durability of the bases though. The first run on the skis scored a massive core shot and pealing (delaminating) of the base material.
