Nixon Rover Watch

Nixon Rover is a poser watch

By Ranked #561 - Casual Watches April 2, 2004

I wanted to pass on some info and my experiences with my Nixon Rover.

I was wearing windsurfing Maui at Kanaha, and fell, not a face plant, but a nice, slow motion fall.

Up I came and I was bummed to see no more Rover. The plastic band streched over the stainless link.

I guess I should have known, the plastic link was obviously not very strong.

I think the Rover should be marketed as a dress / poser watch instead of a watch for watersports or "do anything" watch as listed on the website.

Otherwise it is a cool watch, the band looks great but is does not hold up to active watersports.

Just my 2 cents.

PS. I may buy the Rover SS but am concerned it won't hold up.
