Gear Review
Himalaya VS Summit
By Jonas R
Ranked #64 - Men's Down Jackets
November 1, 2007
When i first got this jacket I was a bit gutted that it wasn't the Himalaya parka, which is thought to be better and warmer. However, after having worn a couple of times in the Norwegian mountains, in ice cold weather, i soon realised that this jacket has all the warmth and water resistancy you'll ever need! Later I had a chat with a friend of mine who has the Himalaya parka and we resulted in this:
If you need an extremely warm jacket that can take snowblizzards any time, any where, this is a great alternative. If you need all that and two more pockets and a useless chinstrap and a slightly softer lining, go for the Himalaya.
Good luck!
