Gear Review
Good tent, but

Ranked #302 - Family Camping Tents

Good tent, quality construction, tight seams, no glaring issues. BUT
The poles are thick and hard to feed through the fabric. Set-up is more difficult than it need be.
The ample screen windows have no fabric 'curtains' to zip shut. When using this tent in cold weather the drafts were obscene. (The rain fly is well ventilated, as well it should be, and does nothing to minimize a draft).
Other thoughts:
The over-all design, with it's large vestibule is very functional. Can put a potty in the vestibule when camping with children. It's spacious, but 7 people are NOT going to be able to sleep in it unless packed in like the slave ship sardine illustration on the instructions. These illustrations are ghoulishly funny when you start to really look at them, btw. Am surprised they don't stack the little mummy bags 3 deep and say 21 people will fit.
Over-all; good car camping family tent for up to 4-5 people.
