bd o2 problems

while these bindings ski great, they have serious reliability/maintenance issues. once loctited, it is difficult to change/remove cartridges. the cartridges also go through a serious break-in phase which requires you to retighten them a lot in the beginning. even after this break in phase, they spontaneously release when skiing. (heel throw comes loose). this has been reported more than a few times. this release is very dangerous when skiing at high speeds or in the bumps. i crashed in a downhill race at high speeds when one of the bindings released accidentally and luckily survived. there's a reason the US national team skis other bindings....
