"Perfect 95% of the time" - Review of Mountain Hardwear Lamina 35 Sleeping Bag: 35 Degree Synthetic
I bought the Lamina 35 after researching nearly every type of bag. Backpacker Gear Guide, reader reviews, everything. I replaced my 15yr old Slumberjack bag. I wanted something the compresses down small enough to fit in my overnight pack (2800cu) and something light. I'm a warm sleeper and only ever got cold 20 degrees colder than what my old bag was rated at (20). The compression sack is a bit tight, but the bag fits in the 6x12 sack. Very lightweight, great hood, plenty of wiggle room, and a snag free zipper. I saw no need for a down bag. This was plenty light for me, and I'd rather not ever have to worry about my bag getting wet and useless like down. This is a great bag for a great price! I plan on getting a down 0 deg bag for ski touring and winter trips, but the majority of my nights are spent above 25F.
