These shoes are worth every penny!, We compared cheaper shoes, mainly due to the fact that kids feet grow so fast, and that in 6 month we may need another. I am glad we went with the Fuego. They are good for smearing and edging, my child does not know what that means, but I have watched her do it with ease. Another important thing I have noticed is the rubber seems to hold up longer then the other less expensive brands. My feeling is if your child will be climbing outdoors often, this is the shoe you want.
