I have used these poles in the harsh desert environs of the Superstition Wilderness and trekking through Grand Canyon corridors... they are remarkably light and tough for the weight too!
I like the smaller hand grips- and that the poles pack smaller than anything out there. Comfortable to hold up or down hill- but be advised there is not an anti-shock on them. I rated them a 4 for solid performers, but not perfect because IMO these Lekis don't come with rubber tips for road walking. you have to pay extra!?
