I finally broke down and bought a new winter coat. It's pretty good, fit is excellent, nice stitching in high quality fabric. It's a little warm at 35-40 degrees, but has kept me warm in 15 degree with fast wind. I like that.
Also it has just the right touch of pockets, not too many!
