These gloves are expensive but worth every penny. I got to try them for the first time this weekend on Loon Mountain, New Hampshire and these gloves keep your fingers and hands warm! My buddy had a pair of Force 10's and he was complaining of frosty fingers half way up the mountain - you can't put a price on the toasty feeling that the Marmots give you in these conditions. I was a little concerned when I first got them that the fingers might be a little "thick", but once we were geared up, the gloves were as flexible as any other to use and have a nice feature that allows you to keep the gloves tied to your hands when you need to take them off - very handy when adjusting your gear before getting on a chairlift -- with the certainty that you won't drop your glove(s) on the way up.
The Gore-Tex XCR is clearly doing a great job, the gloves slide on and off with ease and look good, too (I had black color). I saw a some of the Ski Guides at the resort wearing them too, for good reasons that I know know about -these Marmots are hot in the cold.
