Not as comfortable as my Arc'Teryx Targa, but the adjustable rise wins me over. Now lead falls don't nearly pitch me over backwards. Beefy sturdy, but comes up a little short on details. The tail gets crimped by the first gear loop when run through the elastic keeper. Friends have this harness and the placement of the elastic keeper loop varies. No loop to keep harness together while buckling, but seems available on the deluxe model. Leg loops uncomfortable with little padding for hanging long periods of time. If you can afford the deluxe model it appears to be more comfortable. Finally, the waist strap is different colors on different sizes (or is it models, I dunno). Mine goes from black to red when buckled properly. Not a big deal, but since red usually indicates something is not "right", as on your locking biners and the buckle of competitor's harnesses, it just seems like an odd choice. Main gripe is comfort, but I'll trade staying upright any day.

At some point Metolius switched the color indicator on the waist belt. I have an older model of thie Safe Tech and the colors are red when unsafe and black when doubled back. I don't know why they switched it either. I makes more sense the old way, as you mentioned

Blake - I am a new climber and just purchased this harness for my first. I don't lead climb yet but was interested in how the adjustability provided you more stability in falls. could you email me how to properly adjust to maximize stability and comfort when haniging. Thanks, Clint
