Ranked #58 - Women's Softshell Jackets
February 19, 2007
This jacket is great. Very light, keeps me dry and warm. Very comfortable compared to other rain jackets. Mountain Hardwear doesn't claim that it's waterproof, but Backpacker Magazine did and I agree. Wind doesn't get through either, even though it is very thin. It's much thinner than the Arc'teryx Gamma SV for instance, and in my opinion, more comfortable and practical. It also packs to a small size. I'll mostly be using this in the summer, so I'm expecting that this will be the only jacket I'll need to bring anymore. It does run small though. Bought a 10, which fits more like an 8. Make sure you size up if you want to layer underneath it.
