Problems under certain conditions

I'm coming up on the end of a season with these bindings, and have loved them. However, did discover that it is possible to lose the tour mode under certain snow conditions. At the end of a 16 mile tour, encountered heavy snow. I switched from tour to ski mode to step over an obstacle, and the bindings would not return to tour mode (I think wet, heavy snow become stuck beneath the switch so they would not remain in tour mode, but slipped immediately back to ski mode). These bindings are impossible to tour on without tour mode (way too stiff - similar to trying to tour alpine gear), so am now nervous about losing this feature half way into a lengthy tour, instead of at the end. . .
