Best backcountry gloves

In my experience, these are the best of the lot. For gloves, they're warm - 10 oz. of Primaloft per glove. They have Pittards goat skin leather AND they have a double layer on the palm. Add to that, the doubled layer is stitched on with Kevlar. Pretty durable, to say the least. I use mine aggressively and love them.
That said, allow me to state the obvious - they're not mittens folks. Marmot, BD, OR, Paty, and the other guys make some fine expedition-weight mitts. They'll do a much better job of keeping your digits warm than gloves will.
However, provided you want gloves, these are well worth the cost. They stand out in the crowd of "guide" gloves.
