Marmot Resolution - the best features for me.

I tried (inside at home, not yet on the hill) a number of jackets, and the Marmot Resolution is clearly, far and away the most practical for me. It's very well made, and it has very practical features. The two way front zipper (two sliders) is a great feature and should be available on all jackets. I like the very, very small use of Velcro, especially in the front. Other jackets of this type have a flap covering the zipper and use Velcro to keep the flap closed. I find that to be a royal pain, and I'm delighted that the outside zipper flap on the Resolution (there's also an inside zipper flap) stays closed without Velcro (except one at the collar when completely zipped up). Even the wrist closures use Velcro in a different way. The pockets are many, practical, and of good size. The only one I'd change is the sleeve pocket - I'd want it on the bicep rather that the forearm. Also, I'd brighten up the red color. Aside from those two things, it's PERFECT! I'll report again after I've actually used in on the mountain.
