Flow Amp 5 Bindings
By Ian F
Ranked #1283 - Snowboard Bindings

The main reason for getting the Amp5's was to get over the ball ache and time to re-fix and tighten my traditional bindings every time I stopped or hit the "flats". I am an OK boarder and spend my time either on piste or on straight forward powder. After much deliberation I decided the AMP 5 was the right level for my ability. Not too stiff to be uncomfortable on long runs, but giving me the control I needed to hit the black runs.
They are superb - easy to clip on and off and save an incredible amount of time and energy. Once set up at the start of the week, I didn't need to re-adjust again. Yes, they are harder to clip on if you are on a slope - but still easier than traditional bindings.
The only complaint would be the Flow fitting instructions. They are easy to fit but the nonsensical instructions make things seem so much more complicated than they need to be and appear to bear no relation to the bindings you've bought. My tip would be to bin the instructions and use your common sense.
Finally, my ski friends are equally delighted as they no longer have to wait while I crank up the binding straps. However, they still moan about time wasted selecting different mp3 tracks.
