Gear Review
The best three season bag out there!

Ranked #79 - Sleeping Bags
January 3, 2007
Beeline faces heavy competition to be the lightest down sleeping bag on the market. I think 30F bags are probably the best choice for three seasons especially warm sleepers. I have tried 35F and 40F bags, but I did get cold during late fall season.
Marmot Atom is top rated by Backpacker Magazine and Outside Magazine for quality, weight, and performance. But it is rated down to 40F. This was the ultimate factor which Beeline was my final choice. I am 5'11" and about 168Lbs and although this bag is zipperless, I can easily slide right in and wiggle around at night. I don't miss the zipper at all. The elastic cords around the hood easily shortened or elongated. This bag is so light it feels like I am floating (little over 1Lb). The shell is so soft it looks delicate, but it is tough enough for me.
Well made bag. I think 30F is a bit overrate for warm sleepers. I did sleep one night when it was about mid 30's and I was little cold (I am a warm sleeper). I would rate this bag as a 35F bag. It compressed to size of a large grapefruit. I love this bag. Beautiful, well made, light, can't go wrong! Marmot Atom, you have met your match! :)
