The North Face Alpine Jacket

I really like the Alpine Jacket. It is fantastic at keeping the wind and rain out. You have to be careful if the temperature gets below 40C, however because it does not block the cold very well. I like the armpit vents, because when you are walking fast, like you have to in downtown Chicago, you can get pretty warm. I did go to this site and found the matching fleece liner. The two together have been so nice! The liner cuts the cold, and the wind cannot get through the shell. We haven't gotten any COLD weather yet. So far, it hasn't gotten below the mid-20's, but the combo have been fine at those temps. I have a sub-zero down jacket that I can use when it gets really cold, but it is too hot for anything above 20. I am very happy with my purchase, and I would recommend it to anyone.
