"Good Stuff." - Review of Arc'teryx Accomplice Jacket - Women's
Of the several Arc'teryx jackets for women I have tried, this is one of my favorites. Arc'teryx bills the accomplice as a casual jacket, and I would agree for the most part. However, this jacket can also be used nicely for lightweight backpacking-type situations. I hate wearing rain jackets, and if I'm going to be hiking in an area that has rain sprinkles but not major storms, this is my favorite option. The DWR will keep me plenty dry and the fleece will keep me plenty warm. It saves space and weight in my pack. This jacket is very thin compared to many fleeces, which is flattering. It's also very warm, but if you're going to be in really cold situations then this would be a good mid-layer. I was a little disappointed because the jacket lacks the zipper guards I've found on every other Arc’teryx jacket. So it is possible to stab yourself in the chin when you zip it up. But this jacket is intended for use in casual settings, and I often use it when I don't want to be dressed up but I don't want to be as casual as a sweatshirt either. It's nice enough to be worn out do dinner or to work. Beautiful jacket that serves its purpose.
