The North Face Aconcagua Down Jacket - Men's

Item #TNF2436 | 1058 in Stock
4 Star Rating

Not for extreme cold

By Ranked #136 - Men's Down Jackets November 14, 2006

Jacket is very light and not bulky. For the price I paid of $105 it was a decent deal. I can use it in my North Face GoreTex shell as a liner also. That being said, this jacket is not for temps below, say, 20 degrees. When you sit in the car the down flattens at all touch points like back, arms, etc. and a cold spot develops immediately. If you need something warmer like I do in Minnesota for most of the winter, then skip this jacket if you are going to wear it alone. Maybe get the Nuptse instead.
