X6HR Disappointment
By The Geez
Ranked #543 - Heart Rate Monitors
November 8, 2006
I have used HRs for years and I have used other Suunto instruments that were very good and lived up to their claims. But the X6HR is a big disappointment. Right out of the box it didnt work (it was a gift and it wasnt bought from this site). The time kept resetting itself to a mystery time. Turns out that is a bug in X6HR and Suunto was aware of but didnt recall the bad watches. Suunto fixed it. However, after only a month the watch stopped connecting to the software, a few weeks later the watch stopped, the altitude function in the software never did work, the chest strap was uncomfortable and wouldnt stay hooked and the alarms are not loud enough. All in all I would never recommend this product to any one.
