Ranked #2697 - 3-Season Tents
September 5, 2006
This tent seemed to be the most 3-season tent for the money when we were shopping for a smaller tent, and after using it I think we were right. It will be a snug fit for 3 adults but it is luxurious for 2, which is typical for most tents anyway. Setup is easy, footprint is moderate and ventilation is superb without being drafty. No storms yet but the geometry looks decent, there is plenty of interlink between fly, frame, and guy points, and there are 9 anchor points even before guying out. This is a real 3-season, not convertible, so our aged Mountain Hardwear Skyview 5 is still the tent of choice for cold, snow, and places with dust storms, but for less than extreme camping this is a lot of bang for the buck.
