The mixed climbing rubber on the bottoms of these shoes is great! I have used them for about a month now on hikes in the Grand Canyon, desert areas around Arizona, Joshua Tree bouldering, and a local hike in the San Gabriel mountains. They stick like promised and so far are holding up well. Hopefully the rubber will last a few seasons backpacking into the Sierra's as well.
