The best 3 person tent in years

In the last 10 years I have not experienced a better tent made for two people. The layout is clean and roomy, it can easily be setup by one person. From zippers glowing in the dark to a fly that fits perfectly snug, nothing has been missed. With the large vestibules on both sides you will have space for your gear and with the fly's fully taped seems you will always feel secure in the rain.

I love the height of the ceiling, and with the way the doors open I can go from kneeling to stepping straight out of the tent, verses crawling out catching my head on typical smaller doors and lower ceilings found in other tents. This is one of the only high-performance tents that has privacy without the fly on because the ripstop nylon sides come up about 3+ feet around the tent to enclose you in a nice private setting (perfect for couples and changing in the morning) and then the rooftop netting leaves you staring up at the stars all night while sipping a bottle of wine with your companion.

The tent is lightweight enough for a short weekend backpacking trip with your significant other, however, for a longer couple backing trip I would definitely use my lighter tent but I would still miss having the comfort, the feel, and the "home-like" nature of the Merlin Tent with me.

This tent is a must-have and in my opinion it’s the only high-performance tent to consider for couples and car camping.
