I'm a high school senior and recently purchased the Venture Jacket. At school one day it was pouring out. I had a study hall, in the library building, and therefore had to cross the quad. I pulled the jacket out of my backpack, where I always keep it. I turned right side out, because it was packed away in it's packable pocket. And I threw it on, covering my backpack also as I crossed the quad, I was amazed at just how waterproof it was. It was just a little too water proof, by the time I got into the other building, and took of the jacket, I realized that I was completely dry, so I (being my water loving self ran back outside, without the jacket, jumping up and down, in puddles, until I was soaked through.
