great all-purpose jacket

I couldn't disagree more with bourbon ninja's review. I originally ordered the North Face plasma thermal jacket for skiing, but returned it for being too small. With my size unavailable, I looked for a replacement jacket. The North Face apex valkyrie jacket was the perfect replacement. It's probably not as warm as the plasma thermal, but I have been skiing in NH on some cold days this season and it's held up great so far. I typically wear a t-shirt and a long sleeve shirt underneath with no problems, but I can also fit a thick base layer underneath, as well. The cuffs fit fine over my Oakley pipe gloves and the neck is not tight at all. I've seen a few others on the slopes wearing the same jacket, so I'm not the only one who thinks so...a perfect ski jacket - light, portable, stylish, and warm enough by itself for all but the coldest days...
