Used them in the Grand Teton National Park on our climb of the Grand. Worked extremely well without problems. First time I used anti shock poles. My other poles were not antishock. What a difference coming down the mountain trail after our climb! I agree with others that they are a little noisy but we ran into a black bear half way down about 3 yards off the trail and the noise probably alerted him of our presence and he lumbered off. Great poles at a great sale price.
