Ranked #1136 - 25 to 5 Degree Down Bags

Im an obsessive gear head and of all the gear I have purchased I would rate this bag at the bottom. It is roomy, and lightweight, and under ideal conditions probably would not be to bad. I backpack in late fall, winter and early spring. On the good side the bag is warm enough, and has plenty of room, however the problems I have encountered are: Pull cord for hood and chest are difficult to release, padding around the head is not all that comfortable, and chest cord cuts a crossed the chin or nose with no padding. Pray you dont get any condensation drip in the tent as the outer layer sucks it up like a sponge and the down gets wet. Not good. Thankfully I had a liner. A water resistant outer layer, separate pull cords, and better padding around the face and chest would greatly improve this bag, also the draft tube could be larger. Guess its the old you get what you pay for.
