Ranked #3081 - Men's Ski Jackets
December 15, 2005
I've used The North Face stuff for quite a while. My last Mountain Light lasted nearly 12 years. Being very happy with my previous, I decided to get yet another one. All in all it is a great jacket, and I expect to get the same life out of it. However, The North Face apparently changed the zipper, so now none of my other jackets/vests/etc zip in. In general, I do not zip in other layers when I'm skiing, hiking, etc. Though, it is helpful from time to time so as not have to keep up with two items. Passing through airports is a good example. I verified the new North Face fleece do zip in, but not the old. Also, I find the zippers for the pockets to catch on inner liner material quite a lot. This actually tore one small section of the inner pocket when pulled quickly while skiing this past weekend. It is a great product, but I may think about Mountain Hardwear more next time.
